Join Nuventra virtually at this year’s twelfth annual American Conference on Pharmacometrics (ACoP12) on November 8 – 12. ACoP is the annual scientific meeting of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP). This specialty meeting focuses on all aspects of modeling and simulation in pharmacology and therapeutics. Nuventra is proud to be a bronze sponsor of this year’s event.
Nuventra-UNC PK/PD Fellow, Soha Freidy, Pharm.D., will be presenting a poster session titled: “A pharmacokinetic (PK) model for evaluating pulmonary exposure of bacteriophage (phage) therapy following intravenous (IV) and intratracheal (IT) administration” on Thursday, November 11 at 8:00-8:45am and 12:00-12:30pm ET.
The objective of the study was to develop a pre-clinical phage PK model evaluating pulmonary exposures and bioavailability via IV & IT routes of administration to help inform the design and optimization of phage therapy. This mechanism-based modeling was performed by Dr. Freidy during her first year of her fellowship at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under the supervision of Dr. Gauri Rao.
The theme of ACoP12 is “Charting the Course for Our Future,” which aligns with ISoP’s vision to promote and advance the discipline of pharmacometrics and broaden its impact. It also embraces the pillars of ACoP’s 5-year strategic plan: scientific expertise and innovation, influence, education, tools and resources, and internationalization.
