Nuventra is pleased to announce a partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for the joint training of clinical pharmacologists. The PK/PD Innovation Fellowship is open to high-achieving applicants who have completed an advanced degree and who are interested in the advancement of minorities in the pharmaceutical sciences.
“At Nuventra, we seek to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that generates innovation in the field of drug development across a range of medical needs, in all communities. By partnering with UNC to develop the PK/PD Innovation Fellowship we will have a direct impact, not only on our internal mission, but on the greater goal of increasing opportunity in underrepresented and underserved communities,” says Brianna Collier, Nuventra’s Associate Director of Human Resources.
At the completion of the Fellowship, the Fellow will be able to understand the importance of clinical research in drug development, with a focus on pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles. In addition, the Fellow will demonstrate cultural intelligence and engage in a diverse and inclusive community of people to accelerate new thinking and ideas in education, research and health practices.
The first recipient of this Fellowship has been named and will begin training starting in July 2021.
